Ducati MPL Titanium Slipper Clutch
This special clutch is made from high strength, high grade (aircraft) aluminium with titanium stay bolts, surface treated starting plate and a racing spring steel insert basket. This package provides the opportunity to leave out the first steel plate, allowing you to add one more clutch plate. Recommended for high performance engines. It was originally developed for racing but more and more customers do not want to miss out on its considerable advantages on the road. The clutch prevents the lock up and hopping of the back wheel during fast down-shift changes. Especially in the entry to turns! In a turn, the anti-hopping-clutch ( Slipper-clutch ) gives you optimum safety. To show its brilliant optical appearance and to improve cooling, this clutch should be used in connection with an open clutch cover. (A must for all Ducati-fans!). The clutch will be delivered complete with installation instructions! All current friction materials can be used. (organic, aluminium, sinter-metal and carbon-fibre).

PLEASE NOTE: The Titanium Slipper Clutch for the 1098 has additional spring spacers and a different central nut. PLEASE BE SURE TO SELECT THE 1098 VERSION IF YOU ARE ORDERING FOR THAT MODEL. Racing Clutch Basket Option:
Save money by making a package deal, add the MPL Racing Clutch Basket. This clutch basket has been used for racing since early 2004. It has 24 patented hardened spring steel inserts in the basket. These inserts prevent the driving plates from working into the basket, allowing for longer life of the clutch. These plates can be replaced when worn. Due to the sandwich design, steel coupled with aluminum, the rattling clutch noise is reduced to a more deep exhaust like sound
